Should I Have Bought a Honda Civic Type R? | TEST DRIVE



I took a test drive in the Honda Civic Type R to contemplate whether this could have been a choice for me over my Ford Focus RS. While I'm currently taking part in the Mille Miglia in Italy, I wanted to publish some videos that were never released, including this with the Civic Type R. During the stop in Auckland, New Zealand I visited Honda Cars NZ to take it out for a drive to see what it's like. First up we can take a walkaround to explore the exterior before jumping inside for a quick look ahead of taking it out, in what turned out to be pretty horrific traffic for the afternoon. My second outing in a Performante, this time on the other side of the world, so what's it really like? Joined by Lee K from Supercar Advocates we pick up the car from Scuderia Graziani in Sydney, Australia and take it for a blast to find out. The Performante needs little introduction, but this is certainly a great spec for it. THIS is the New BMW M3 CS! | FIRST DRIVE



This is the brand new BMW M3 CS, and everything you would want to know about it! From a full in-depth walkaround to stretching the M3 CS' legs on the Autobahns before returning for some track laps to put it through its paces. With only around 1,200 to be built, the CS sits at the very top of the F80 M3 line-up as BMW M's latest product, but is it worth the price tag? Coming in at £86,000 base price in the UK, that can quickly escalate to a 6-figure car with options like the fantastic carbon ceramic brakes. It represents a £25,000 mark-up over the M3 Competition Package but for that you get an increase to 460hp and 600Nm (from 450 and 550 respectively) from the 3.0l biturbo straight-six, a host of carbon fibre parts on the body and alcantara on the interior. With just a 10kg shaving in the weight, the biggest changes come from the way the car is setup and dialed in to be the purist's choice of sporty saloon. After taking a look around the new M3 CS, let's jump in for a drive on the roads, including a blast on the Autobahn to 270km/h or so; close to the top speed of 280km/h from the CS. A New BMW M2 Competition is Joining the Team!



I'm very excited to announce that a BMW M2 Competition will also be joining the team! Shmarc, manager of Shmee150, is upgrading his M2 to the latest model – the M2 Competition. We saw the car for a full first look at the recent launch and the journey is shaping up to be very special with some great videos in the works. I'm very excited for him, it's going to be epic! On a very wet afternoon that ends the 2018 Nurburgring 24H, a brand new BMW M2 Competition was being showcased outside the BMW M Motorsport hospitality unit featuring a whole host of the new M Performance Parts on offer. The total package will bring the price tag up towards a total of around €100,000 but for that you get an incredibly enticing car that we cannot wait to drive for the first time. As we take a walkaround of the car wearing a number of the options we can take a look at them in detail; from the carbon fibre roof, bonnet, fenders, grille and spoiler to other upgrades like the engine cover, decal package, brakes and suspension kit. What’s the Spec of My BMW M5? | GARAGE



Straight from picking up the new Shmeemobile BMW M5 from the factory in Munich, it's immediately onto the first trip! Joining BMW at the Nurburgring for the 24H race, let's take a run over of the full spec of the new Shmeemobile before taking part in the parade lap around the Nordschleife! I picked up the M5 from the BMW Welt, the customer delivery point at their headquarters with a fantastic collection experience before embarking on a 600km drive via Frankfurt to the Nurburgring for this legendary racing weekend. Ahead of the 24 hour race getting underway, we have an opportunity to join the M Corso with around 40 other BMW M cars for a parade lap in front of 100,000 spectators, lead by Frank van Meel, CEO of BMW M. IT’S HERE! Collecting My BMW M5



The BMW M5 has arrived! It's been a busy week, with a trip to the BMW Welt to collect the M5 as the icing on the cake. The latest Shmeemobile arrives to be the daily driver in Germany, a car from BMW M and hence there will be a lot of content to come as we get to know it inside-out. The 6th Gen M5 mixes incredible performance with vast levels of technology, making it a super-saloon and a dream daily driver. I'll be taking the car to events like the Nurburgring 24H, Le Mans 24H and on other adventures around the continent as I get to know the M5 over many thousands of miles. We'll also be making special visits to venues like the factory, BMW individual, and experimenting more with the intelligent M xDrive system and the ability to pop it purely into 2WD mode – if 4WD/4WD Sport isn't your thing. The car comes with thanks to BMW M who have very kindly provided it for test purposes over the coming months. As a car of particular interest to both myself and many of you – this seems like the perfect time to get to know what it's all about and put it through its paces. To kick things off, a collection experience was lined up at the famous BMW Welt in Munich. It's a location home to handovers of cars to those from the USA and Canada doing 'European Delivery', but also to almost 20,000 customers from Germany, Italy, France and more who choose to come to the factory for the experience. As a way to have a memorable time collecting a new car, I honestly could not recommend it enough, it felt truly special and exciting. It's been a busy week, collecting my Dad's Aston Martin DB11, then both my new Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition and Red Edition, and now the long-term test car BMW M5, but certainly one I won't forget as the new adventures for this summer get underway! DOUBLE COLLECTION DAY! My New Focus RS Heritage and Red Editions



My brand new Ford Focus RS Heritage and Red Editions have both arrived! In a first for me, it's a double collection day of both cars at the same time, in my current RS, making it a trio line-up at Essex Ford! I'm excited for the project coming with the RS Red Edition – there are some big plans ahead… Ahead of selling my blue RS, I took it along to line up with it's younger siblings at Essex Ford, 'Skittles' style with the blue, red and orange. No doubt many will be wondering why on earth three of the same car… Well, the blue RS will now be sold, the Red Edition is to become a major project car this summer, and the Heritage will be a permanent part of my car collection. The last two years have demonstrated that it's a great car for me so why change a winning formula?! The Focus RS Heritage Edition celebrates the 50th anniversary since the introduction of the Ford RS brand back in 1968. With only 50 cars built in total from the tail end of the production line of the Mk3 RS, I am very lucky to be the custodian of one to sit beside my Ford GT in the garage in future. The RS Heritage is painted in "Tieforange", a colour that rings back to the initial introduction and is a special item just for the UK market following the success of sales here. It features all the upgrades found on the Red Edition and Blue Edition cars, as well as coming with the Mountune FPM 375 package as standard – including bespoke painted parts too. The RS Red Edition is on track to become my first project car with a heavy raft of modifications inbound. As one of 300 cars painted in Race Red for the UK market, it features carbon interior trim parts and a Quaife front limited slip diff as standard. The first part in the project process though is to bring the interior up to scratch! I've often felt that the RS looks the part, drives the part, and performs incredibly well but it's let down by a very cheap looking interior. Undertaking this project are Prototrim, who regular carry out bespoke interior projects, concept car developments and work with the likes of Singer, Overfinch and Urban – so safe to say they know a thing or two about interiors. We'll be catching up with Prototrim again soon to have a look through some design ideas and get the work truly started to make something smart, unique, but giving a very natural fit with the car. The Red Edition has carried over my SH13 MEE plate from the blue car; conveniently standing for 1-in-3(00) cars. The intention is that the GT wears SH66 MEE to celebrate the 1966 Le Mans victory, hence the RS Heritage will be SH68 MEE for the 1968 introduction. Those that know the UK number plate system will be able to relate that it means the car cannot be collected until September – in the mean time I've got the Red Edition to play with, as well as the GT3 and another German super-saloon inbound this week… My thanks goes to Paul and the team at Essex Auto Group for their great customer service throughout the process. How Shall I Spec My Ford GT? | GARAGE



It's time to fully start the road to my Ford GT! The 'Design Spec' ordering kit has arrived which opens the order window period ready for delivery at the very end of this year, in December. So now starts the process of working out how to spec it?! Ford have taken a completely original and unique approach to the GT for their customers, by providing the carbon fibre box with racing latch that reveals the different 'standard' spec options that are available; the paint colours, strips, wheel options, interior trim and materials and more. It is both helpful to spec the car itself but also as a long term collectible with a space to place the chassis plate that matches the final car. There is no question it's an expensive car; with a start price of £519,995 before options it will run up to almost £600k in total, so some serious consideration has to be taken about this. The story surrounding the Ford GT has been incredibly exciting, especially on a personal level having been at the global unveiling in Detroit, been with Ford as the GT took Le Mans victory in 2016, and having the most amazing first drive in the Cairngorms in Scotland. There will only be a handful of them on UK roads and it has to be one of the absolutely best looking cars in existence. There is nothing else really like it in terms of something that is literally built for racing and then reverse engineered for the road. However, I think I am very likely to proceed, so here is the big question, how am I going to spec this? I want it to be something quite unique and stand out – for example no way is it going to be a resale generic spec. There are the possibilities to go for a completely unique 'extended palette' paint to sample, or even to do that with the stripes too. I Want a New Mercedes-AMG G63! | FIRST DRIVE



This is the brand new generation Mercedes-AMG G63 and everything you could possibly want to know about it! From a full in-depth walkaround to heading off-road on a mountain and then even a rally stage. While still very much a G on the outside, under the skin it's been vastly improved, so take a watch to see all about it. Kicking off in Perpignan, France, the first part of the drive has us crossing through the Corbier Mountains. The previous generation G63 had left me disappointed on road but for the new car, AMG have pulled out all the stops and transformed it to a genuinely dynamic vehicle. Powered by the AMG 4.0l Biturbo V8, it's pushing out 585hp and 850Nm, meaning 0-62mph/100kmh is just 4.6 seconds. Next is a full exploration walkaround of the car, to discuss the differences of the G63 to the G500 or G550, as well as the specifics of this Edition 1 version. We can take a look at and listen to the engine as well as an introduction to the radical refined interior. Then we jump back onto the road for a run through the driving modes up to Sport + to push it harder and get a better feel. Finally we arrive at the venue used by Mercedes 28 years ago to launch a previous model of the G, and still a location used for testing. This gives the opportunity to take a G500 and go to push it on surfaces that one could not even walk, but swapping back into a G63 for the rally stage track. Laatly it's back to the base of the mountain for a more detailed run through the interior and technology that the car has to offer. Enjoy the video! My Dad Upgraded to an Aston Martin DB11! | NEW CAR



My Dad has upgraded to an Aston Martin DB11! After over 4 years with his V12 Vantage, it was time for a change so we returned to JCT 600 Aston Martin to take a look at a particular Launch Edition that took his fancy. The numbers added up and the deal was done, so let's take a look at his new car! The car in question is a DB11 Launch Edition in Mariana Blue with an interior mixing Dark Night and Ivory leather. The exterior is optioned with gloss black roof, roof-strake, lower parts and front grille, with the dual-tone wheel design to finish it off. General specification is very high as part of the Launch Edition package, which referenced the first 1,000 DB11s to be built that were each individually inspected and signed-off by Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin. Having bought the V12 Vantage from JCT 600 in Leeds as long as 4 years and 4 months ago, when this particular car came up for sale in a stunning specification, it was an easy decision. Sitting more as a grand tourer with the 2+2 seating configuration and more relaxed ride than the manual V12 Vantage, the DB11 is a different proposition but no doubt a very comfortable one for the miles to come. Check Out the £1.2m Brabham BT62! | FIRST LOOK



Brabham are back and present to the world the new BT62 track-bred hypercar! A hugely significant name from the world of motorsport and F1, under the leadership of David Brabham the company relaunches in London with the presentation of the BT62. The Brabham BT62 packs in a 5.4l naturally aspirated V8 with 710hp (700bhp) and 667Nm of torque, while weighing just 972kg giving it a power to weight of 730. Combine those numbers with 1,200kg of downforce, slick tyres, and based around a GT car frame, you can expect some serious track performance – effectively taking away the rule book from the restrictions placed on racecars. The first car we see here is the development car that's been testing in Australia, where the cars are built in Adelaide. It's finished in a distinct green and gold livery to commemorate the 1966 France Grand Prix at Reims, where Sir Jack Brabham was victorious in a car wearing his own name in a season where even to this date he became the only man to win a championship in such a fashion. With the Anglo-Australian routes of the Brabham family, the Australian High Commission in London at Australia House was chosen as the launch venue for the BT62, surrounded by an array of significant racecars from Brabham's history. 25 Tunnels in My Screaming Porsche GT3!



Last year I ruined the day, but this time around we're back with my Porsche 911 GT3 to drive the famed 'Red Rock Road' properly! With tunnels galore and the engine screaming away to 9,000rpm, the moment deserves cinematic appreciation – hope you enjoy it! During the trip to the Red Rock Road in 2017 with my McLaren 675LT Spider, it ran into a spot of bother due to a thermostat that became defective. That sadly meant at the very foot of the road it was no longer good to continue and we had to turn back. This time around history nearly repeated itself with my AMG GT R suffering intercooler issues that have caused a leak, however the Porsche GT3 is up and running and the road was ready to be driven! With the most incredibly stunning scenery, combined with a snaking road loaded with twists, turns and tunnels, it's the perfect location to enjoy a precision tool like the 911 GT3. Known as the 'Red Rock Road', the D2202 is about 1 hour inland from Nice. In one direction there are 17 tunnels, in the other there are 8, making it perfection to enjoy the sound of this engine. What Does it Cost to Daily Drive a Supercar?



As someone who drives an awful lot of miles in supercars, for this Fuel For Thought I wanted to dive into some of the numbers to give you real world feedback on cars like the Porsche 911 GT3 and Mercedes-AMG GT R and what bills they have run up to use almost daily. With over 10,000 miles on my AMG GT R in just 6 months and already around 4,000 miles on the 911 GT3 in only just over a month, they are two cars I can delve right into. Also in the garage we can think about some longer term aspects of the McLaren 675LT Spider and Aston Martin Vantage GT8. Perhaps there's a separate discussion of what actually counts as a supercar, but for the purposes of this video we'll count the GT R and GT3 as within that fold. Meet “My” Mercedes 300SL Gullwing! | MILLE MIGLIA



Meet the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing that I'm going to be driving on the Mille Miglia next month! I call it 'my' Gullwing as I'm going to be getting very familiar with this very car as we push it 1,000 miles from Brescia to Rome and back. It's one of the best events in the world, this is one of the most special and iconic cars in the world – I think this is going to be incredible! This 300SL Gullwing is from 1955, making it more than double my age, and it has run all 30 Mille Miglias that have taken place since the day of my birth. It comes from the Mercedes-Benz Museum collection, run by Mercedes-Benz Classic and I'll be piloting it for the event with @shmarc150, joined by @benzeneben and @sebastiantphotography chasing in my AMG GT R for support! The Mille Miglia runs from 16th-19th May, 4 days of driving from Brescia via Cervia down to Roma and then the return leg back towards Brescia via Parma. With approximately 500 classic cars from 1927-1957 taking part along with thousands of others along the way, the Gullwing starts towards the back of the pack as it is run in age order. In this video we meet the Shmeemobile for this event for the first time, take a look around it and a bit of understanding as to how it works, before going for the first drive to experience something truly special – and remember this is a car worth approximately €1.75m! If I've ever been asked what classic car I would buy, the answer has always been a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, and not only do I now have the opportunity to take it for a short drive but also become completely familiar with it during the fantastic Mille Miglia. THIS is the New BMW i8 Roadster! | FIRST DRIVE



The roof is off with the new BMW i8 Roadster! After the concept-like i8 Coupe made it to production four years ago, the Roadster opens up a world of roof off driving in silence with the electric mode. Let's take a full in-depth walkaround to talk about everything you need to know about the new convertible and what it's like to drive. The BMW i8 Roadster features the same 1.5 litre 3-cylinder engine but with updates that now produces 372hp and 570Nm. Substantial modifications have been required to house the new roof mechanism while maximising luggage space to still house 3 rolling trolley bags between the front bonnet and the space under the folding roof. The most interesting thing for me is the sensation of being able to drive the car in full electric mode, eDrive, with wind in the hair. As I said in the video just like the Porsche 918 Spyder but also I forgot to include the first generation Tesla Roadster that was also a production car. Sneak Peak at the NEW BMW 8 Series M850i xDrive | FIRST DRIVE



The BMW 8 Series is coming and ahead of the launch I had the opportunity to take a first drive in a prototype of the M850i xDrive to get a feel for what it's going to be like! Very much defined as a sports car, the new 8er is not just a Coupe version of the popular, luxurious 7 Series as you might expect but a new machine, and one that BMW have been free to define. With a number that brings back memories of the Z8, the previous 8 Series and also the i8, it's clearly very significant and for my drive I'm joined by Tomo Yoshihama to discuss more what it's about. As we explore the roads of Snowdonia in Wales with hugely variable weather, it gives an opportunity to experience the chassis side of the car and the work they've done to make it comfortable, yet sporty, while also being able to dial up and become a very dynamic driving experience. The future will hold not only the full release of the M850i but also an M8 variant with in excess of 600hp. In this case the 4.4l turbocharged V8 is putting out 530hp, but combined with the xDrive all wheel drive system has no trouble putting down the power. THIS is the New Lamborghini Urus Super-SUV! | TEST DRIVE



This is the new Lamborghini Urus SUV, and everything you want to know about it! From a full in-depth walkaround to hot laps at Vallenlunga, driving on the countryside roads and a purpose built off-road course. It's the third member of the Lamborghini line-up so take a watch to see all about it. Kicking off at Vallelunga circuit near to Rome, Italy, a few dynamic driving laps on track set the tone for the car. For the first time with a turbo engine in a Lamborghini, the Urus is not lacking any power with 650 horsepower and 850Nm of torque from the 4.0l TT V8. Next is a full exploration of the car, seeing the ins and outs, and how it is still distinctly Lamborghini even with a new form factor. Then it's a short drive around the local roads to the track to see what it's like in that environment before returning for an experience on an off roading course that's specifically built for this event. Controversial for sure as a breakaway from the more traditional super sports cars, the Urus is titled by Lambroghini as a Super SUV, it's brilliant in many ways but is it a 'real' Lamborghini? The Zenvo TSR-S is a veritable brute, so let's take a proper explore and first ride in it to find out a bit more! Introduced just last month, the TSR-S is Zenvo's most aggressive road car, with no luxuries to be found like aircon, a radio, or even airbags, but rather almost 1,200 horsepower from a twin supercharged V8 and the most incredible rear wing you have ever seen. Zenvo took the wraps off the TSR-S at the 2018 Geneva Motorshow, presenting a completely original rear wing design concept. With the road TS1 GT having undergone a transformation into the TSR for the track only, that car now moves back to the street in its most hardcore configuration. With the engine and body all built in house by Zenvo in Denmark, it's powered by a 5.8 litre twin supercharged V8 that kicks out 1,177hp and around 1,180Nm of torque. 0-200km/h is dispatched in 6.8s and the top speed is limited to 325km/h. For the TSR-S, Zenvo also introduced variable settings related to the driving experience; including Road and Race modes for the dog leg sequential gearbox, and power modes to alternate from 700hp at one end, to the full end of the spectrum at the other, with an IQ mode in the middle to adjust based on available traction. Upgrades For My Broken AMG GT R?



Unfortunately my AMG GT R is the next to fall foul of my curse in Monaco! Last year it was the 675LT, this year the Mercedes suffers an issue. Before diagnosing the problem, it's a visit to Top Marques to take a look around at the weird and wonderful cars on show! Top Marques is always great, with cars on show in the hall as well as a lot of activity about the town and in the test drive pits. With both my AMG GT R and 911 GT3 in town, we travel around exploring what is going on. However, one big highlight to me inside the show is the new stage 3 RENNtech GT R with a prototype aero package – what do you think about those options for more car? Next stop is to sort out my GT R and explain what is wrong, no nothing to do with the RENNtech tuning before you ask. I suppose its almost a design defect that means the front intercoolers are completely exposed so get battered by road debris. As a result, the one on the right side that handles cooling for the gearbox has been punctured and the tank has drained out. Obviously it would not be sensible to now drive the car in the heat here so we leave it to have this repaired and also the front windscreen finally. Why the New Aston Martin Vantage is Not For Me | TEST DRIVE



The new Aston Martin Vantage landed, and of course it grabbed my attention as a potential Shmeemobile alongside my Vantage GT8, the last of the previous generation. After expressing interest and completing a spec, the final price landed higher than I had expected. Now that the car has arrived to test drive, do I regret my decision, should I still be buying one? For the new Vantage, Aston Martin worked with the expertise of AMG for the engine; a 4.0l biturbo V8 making 510hp and 685Nm. Combining that with an 8spd automatic gearbox, stylish looks and modern interior makes it quite an interesting proposition. Check Out the New BMW M2 Competition! | FIRST LOOK



The wraps are off the brand new BMW M2 Competition! The long-awaited car has arrived, now featuring the 410PS engine from the M3 and M4 amongst a host of upgrades that add more to the already popular sportscar. With the regular BMW M2 now going out of production, the Competition arrives with just a £3k uplift in list price from the earlier car. The new engine increase power by 40PS and torque by 50Nm to 550Nm but also 55kg of additional weight. Visually there are significant changes to the front end, new wheels, and of course a new exhaust system at the back. On the inside, there are new Sports seats, adjustable driving dynamics with M1 and M2 buttons, along with the digital dashboard found in the facelifted model. Chasing the €2.3m Apollo IE – It’s From Another Planet!



After taking a very first look at the brand new Apollo IE last year, we rejoin the car to bare witness to it on the roads! Driving to Cars & Coffee Brescia in my AMG GT R, we're convoying with the truly special machine. With just 10 to be made at a price tag of €2.3m, this prototype is a priceless hypercar but the very best bit has to be taking in the noise of that glorious naturally aspirated V12, just take it in as we go for the drive! Cars and Coffee Brescia never fails to be an epic event, and this year was absolutely no different. Despite the wet weather, the hypercars turned out in force with highlights including: Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder, Koenigsegg CCX Edition, Pagani Huayra BC, Huayra Roadster, Bugatti Veyron, EB110, Porsche Carrera GT, Gumpert Apollo, Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Miura, and so, so, so many more supercars. The Apollo IE must be the star of the show though, the radical design inspired by nature and insects, the finish in purple carbon fibre with gold wheels, and the engine that bellows out with V12 glory. With almost 800 horsepower and weighing just 1,250kg, combined with downforce of 1,350kg, this thing is quite literally an alien UFO that's found itself on our planet. What’s My Choice? Porsche GT3 or AMG GT R – Only One! | HEAD TO HEAD



I've recently taken delivery of both the Mercedes-AMG GT R and the Porsche 911 GT3, two cars that serve very similar purposes at almost identical price points. So, if I could only have one of them, which would it be? After 15,000km on the AMG in 5 months and already 2,500km in just 2 weeks on the 911, I've driven both cars on tracks, Autobahns, town and mountain passes. For this head to head, travelling from the south of Germany through to Italy ahead of Cars and Coffee Brescia, I put the two against each other at high speeds and then in the twisty roads. Both cars are built in Stuttgart, and both serve similar purposes as track focused versions of their respective cars. My GT3 is completed in a spec to be driven on the race track where by GT R is more prepared as a grand tourer. But what are they each like when you jump straight from one to another? 280km/h Abt RS5-R Test Drive on the Autobahn! | REVIEW



The Abt RS5-R takes the latest generation Audi RS5 and dials it up to 11 as I get to experience in a high speed run! Visually the car is enhanced aerodynamically with new carbon parts, along with power from the 2.9l TT V6 raised from 450hp to 530hp and torque up from 600Nm to 690Nm. Taking a look at both the RS5-R and Abt RS4-R beside it, we then jump in to head to the Autobahn! It was clear the RS5-R would be quick, but the ease with which it clears 250km/h and onwards is impressive. Up to a top here of 281km/h, approximately the same as the car's own limiter, and maintaining a solid feeling at that pace thanks to the Quattro system in part. The particular car in Sonoma Green is accented wonderfully by the contrasting carbon fibre parts throughout, along with sitting lower on new suspension with new 21" wheels and exhaust to boot. This is Why I Bought My Porsche GT3! | NURBURGRING



I bought my Porsche GT3 with one big plan in mind, drive it on the Nurburgring! Not just once, but try to really get to know the Green Hell in a car that's fully up to the task. Sadly though, F TB 87 is no more, a new registration is coming! The precision tool that it is makes the 911 GT3 the ideal weapon to learn this grueling circuit and have a lot of fun miles. During a full day of Touristenfahrten at the Nordschleife, I put in a few sessions, getting a feeler and learning more as I go. After a lap with Robert from Apex at the wheel, I'm also joined by Misha to see how I'm getting on… The track is long, complicated and tricky, so it's universally accepted that unlike a GP or F1 circuit it takes a lot of laps to really learn it and that's what I'm trying to do. It won't happen overnight but the GT3 was really purchased to be driven in this way and to use through this season for some good track days – so that's exactly what it shall do! Things went wrong before I even got a lap in though upon the sad realisation that the rear number plate had fallen off due to incorrectly not having the backing tape removed from the sticky pads! Unfortunately in Germany, plates are issued by the government and if you lose one it is withdrawn completely and the car must be re-issued. A new plate is already set and you'll see that very soon! TOP SPEED! Over 200mph in My RENNtech AMG GT R! | EXPERIENCE



I knew that my AMG GT R was going to reach incredible speeds thanks to the upgrades from RENNtech, but I didn't expect it to go this fast! During an early morning run on the Autobahn with a prepared car, it managed to effortlessly reach a GPS recorded 330km/h, or 205mph, what an adrenaline rush! The standard factory Mercedes AMG GT R claims a top speed of 318km/h when it is running with 585PS and 700Nm. After installing the RENNtech R1 package with downpipe, blow-off valve and an ECU tune, my car is running 671PS and 797Nm, with a theoretical rev limiter still in operation of just over 330km/h. Being a track focused car, the additional downforce from the aero is actually disadvantageous at high speed due to the increase in drag, however the rate at which is accelerates is incredible. The additional torque across the rev range is hugely noticeable, but also there car is totally confident at high speed. The conditions had lined up perfectly for the occasion with clear and dry weather, a car in great shape wearing new tyres and a run on a Sunday morning with the absence of trucks and much road traffic. I was already a huge fan of the AMG GT R, but now even more so. It is the most incredible car that is phenomenally fast, incredibly practical, comfortable over long distances, and rapid around the race track to boot. Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo – FIRST EVER REAL CAR DRIVE!



Straight at the launch of the brand new Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo, I had the opportunity to not only join the event but to be the first person to take it for a test drive! The e-tron Vision GT has been introduced today for Gran Turismo on PlayStation but Audi Sport have backed it up with a fully drivable version of the game's Pure EV racecar. With 3 electric motors that create 600Kw of power, the car will do 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds thanks to Quattro four wheel drive, and continue that sprint to set a 0-200km/h time of just 7.8 seconds. With a distinct livery and styling cues that come from the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA-GTO race car, it's a sharp sight to behold. The existence of a fully drivable car straight from the launch, with the opportunity for me to drive it on the very day the car goes into the game has been truly special. My GT3 Thinks it’s a €2.5m Bugatti Chiron! | VLOG



It's a very blue day as we jump into the GT3 to go check out not one, but two Bugatti Chirons and a Veyron at Klassikstadt! With McLaren and Lamborghini Frankfurt hosting a convoy drive-out, they pulled out all the stops with the three Bugattis plus a Lamborghini Centenario Roadster on display. They may technically come from the same company, but the Chiron is quite a step up from the 911 GT3 that's for sure with literally triple the power! Upon hearing the event was happening, I jumped into the new Porsche GT3 to drive over to Klassikstadt to check out the activity. We head straight through the line-ups of supercars to take a look at the highlights, the Bugatti Chirons before returning to check out everything there as they get underway for their drive-out. Each Chiron is painted primarily in the traditional Bugatti blue, with slightly different configurations for the rear parts. Obviously in that line-up, my bright green GT3 sticks out but nonetheless it was fun to park it alongside to some photos – perhaps actually my jumper blends in better! Meet My RENNtech AMG GT R! | GARAGE



I knew that taking my AMG GT R to RENNtech was going to bring out even more of the beast within it, but even I wasn't expecting it to become this savagely brutal! Thanks to the RENNtech R1 package for the GT R, it's now up to 671 horsepower and 797Nm torque, but I think you're going to have to take a listen to the thunderous sound it makes… The RENNtech R1 package consists of new downpipes with 200-cell sports cats, an ECU upgrade and blow-off valve adaptors. The total power is up from the standard 585PS and 700Nm (which read at around 612PS and 714Nm stock) to the new figures of 671PS and 797Nm; some serious gains that make it a ridiculous fast machine. After a comparison of the exhaust sound from stock to how it is with the RENNtech parts, then a short drive to become accustomed to it, it's into the dyno to get the readings as to how much power it now has.
